 Taylor Made Tours Pty Ltd is owned and operated by Simon Taylor & his team. He started his business in April 1997 with a 7 day coach tour to Mildura and the Mighty Murray River for the active senior. Since then he has completed over 500 tours to such diverse places as the Great Ocean Road, Kangaroo Island, Eyre Peninsula & the Flinder Rangers, the Outback of North Queensland & the Gulf of Carpentaria, Cape York & the Torres Strait Islands, Western Australia Wildflowers, The Nullabor, Tasmania, King Isalnd, The Melbourne Cup, Australian Tennis Open, The Kimberley(Bungles Bungles), The Red Centre, New Zealand, Norfolk Island, Barramundi Fishing in the Northern Territory, Canada & Alaska, Borneo & Brunei, Europe & River Cruising, Lord Howe Island, Samoa & Fiji.
Their fully escorted tours by Simon are designed for active seniors and are all inclusive of luxury coach travel, ensuite motel accommodation, airfares (when applicable), all excursion fees, 3 meals a day and wonderful attractions. Many of their tours consist of staying in the one motel for the duration of the tour but on those tours where this is not possible they try to include as many two night stays as possible. The accommodation is from 3 to 5 star with a restaurant on site. This allows their passengers to retire to their room when it suits them.
Simon puts together the itineraries; always with the active senior in mind. He is very conscious of the amount of travelling that is done each day and plans his itineraries accordingly. Simon has realised over the years that it is important to arrive at each night’s accommodation in the late afternoon. This gives everyone time to retire to their rooms, freshen up, have a quick kip or a swim, make a cup of tea or go for a walk before joining everyone for dinner.
They have decided not to own coaches as they feel they would then be coach operators and not tour operators. This gives them the freedom to tour all around Australia and use the best local coach companies, with the best local drivers for their tours. Their tours are always fully escorted, normally by either Simon or one of his team leaders.
